Real Housewives of Orange County's "Gretchen Rossi" is one of our favorite clients!

Katie has always done fashion and modeling photography. One of her clients and close friends include Real Housewives of Orange County "Gretchen Rossi"!
Here she is hanging out with Gretchen during a viewing party of one of the episodes.

"I love Gretchen! She is truly a sweetheart," says Katie when asked to comment on the new Real Housewife. The shows' producers contacted Katie to ask for releases in order to use some of the personal photos that Katie has taken of Gretchen in the shows' footage.
Katie has many more photo shoots in mind for this up and coming starlet.

If you are interested in head-shots, modeling portfolios, or adding a visual to your resume, contact the studio and mention that
"YOU LOVE GRETCHEN"

Katie's Opening at Seven Degrees-Laguna Beach Art Walk- June 5 2008 6-9pm

I am excited to announce my fine art show at
  Seven Degrees in Laguna Beach!
The opening is June 5th, 1st Thursdays Art Walk, 6-9pm and will hang for the month of June.

This show is a special opportunity for me to unveil to the public some of the new printing mediums that are now available in the fine art photography industry. A few of these pieces implement cutting edge technology that is only available from a select few printing labs in the world. I am fortunate to be able to have access to this technology as a result of working with Daniel Fine Art in Laguna Beach.

We have been using these innovative methods for a few months now in hotels, resorts and casinos across the country. Two of my pieces, printed on metal, were recently purchased at the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel.

I am extremely enthusiastic about this show because it enables me to illustrate the amazing things we can now do with photography as a result of digital capture. It also allows me to introduce personal images that have been created from my heart...which, to me, is a true definition of art.

I am also pleased to have LA recording artist Caroline Waters perform live vocals during the reception.
Come visit us for a wonderful sensory experience of art and sound!

Back to the Blog after a very long hiatus!

It is interesting that I am motivated to revisit our blog today. Looking back, I realize that it is 11 months to the exact date today that we posted our first blog. Spring must be the season to come out from under the piles of digital files, paperwork and shoots to let the world know what we have been doing. Well...life has been a whirlwind and it has been over 7 months since my last post. So much for keeping up on weekly happenings at KCP!

In a nutshell, here is a brief history of the wonderful things that have been going on. I have been working diligently on a new direction as a fine art photographer with wonderful results. Here are some of the locations where my art has been purchased and permanently placed.

Katie's photos hang at the Ritz Carlton. Thank You Daniel Fine Art!

In mid September, a historic moment took place in the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel. The original art, that has decorated the Ritz since its opening, was removed in preparation for modern art to take its place.

During this transition, my photographs will be displayed in the hallways on the first floor. I am honored to have 7 fine art photography pieces chosen for the momentous task of holding space while the new art is planned.

Many thanks to Bob and Evalyn at Daniel Fine Art for making this possible. I am looking forward to more projects with this fabulous company in 2008.

Daniel Fine Art is reponsible for the placement of art in Laguna at the Ritz, Montage, and many five star resorts throughout the country.

Sawdust Laguna Beach 2007 Slide Show

To My Sawdust Friends,
I just wanted to say thank you for such a great summer. Many of you have inspired me to explore the artist in myself and as a result I have had the most exciting few months of my career.

In my opinion, the 2007 Ad Campaign was very successful in reviving community awareness on what a talented group of artists we have right here in Laguna Beach. Thanks to all of you for your support and enthusiasm for this campaign. Recently I visited Calgary Canada and lo and behold, came across a Sawdust brochure on a counter in the airport. This was a reminder to me how the Sawdust Festival touches humankind worldwide.

I have been capturing images of the festival throughout the summer. Click on the arrow to view. This is a tribute and a visual journey of my appreciation of one of the most magical places on earth! See you next summer!
