To My Sawdust Friends,
I just wanted to say thank you for such a great summer. Many of you have inspired me to explore the artist in myself and as a result I have had the most exciting few months of my career.
In my opinion, the 2007 Ad Campaign was very successful in reviving community awareness on what a talented group of artists we have right here in Laguna Beach. Thanks to all of you for your support and enthusiasm for this campaign. Recently I visited Calgary Canada and lo and behold, came across a Sawdust brochure on a counter in the airport. This was a reminder to me how the Sawdust Festival touches humankind worldwide.
I have been capturing images of the festival throughout the summer. Click on the arrow to view. This is a tribute and a visual journey of my appreciation of one of the most magical places on earth! See you next summer!

Lovely slide show, you captured the many moods of the Sawdust.
I also know the hours of time it took to photograph, edit and and put this together.
I've been photgraphying the show for many years.. so fun to different a different perspective.

Perhaps, no probably, the most beautiful presentation of the Sawdust I have
ever seen in the 34 years I've been here. It moved me, warmed me, brought
tears to my eyes, and made me love the Sawdust even more. There is an
incredible beauty of color and lights and faces. And I could sense such a
joy in Kathleen as she created this slide show.

Katie - I though your summer collage of the Sawdust photos was just stunning. You really captured the feel of the event - and with a certain softness that is very charming. I have it on my "winter list" to have you do a photo shoot of me. Thanks for sending the wonderful memories.
